Sensor data is useful only when its time relationship is understood. A trigger adapter should be specified as part of a documented timing chain.

Sample and acceptance review
Ask for a timing diagram and sample synchronized records. Preserve the reference clock and event definitions in the acceptance plan.

A shared timestamp format does not prove that two devices are synchronized.
